Robert was a big man with a big heart. He had a hard time saying no when someone needed his help until his health prevented him from doing so. Robert, your wings were ready but my heart was not. If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
It was 1year ago today I got the heart shattering call that you had received your wish to go to your heavenly home. Not a moment in every day since then has my heart not ached for you to be here with me on this earthly plane. I miss you more than I can express in words. Our short journey together definitely had it's rough spots but we always managed to overcome what the issue was. I know your being ill had played a huge factor in that journey. I wanted so desperately to find a way to help heal you so we could do the many things we dreamed about doing. I loved your adventurous spirit and I wish we could have taken the trips we talked about taking. Our journey was short lived but not for lack of trying. Some things in life are just out of our control. It's a hard fact to face but for sanity it must be done. You were my bear and I loved you very much and I still do. I hope you have found the peace and tranquility you sought. You are pain free and that puts a smile in my heart daily. Rest in peace my love.
