298 innocent individuals, families and crew traveling from Netherlands to Malaysia met their destiny when the plane was shot down by a missile while over Ukranian air space.
Oddly, the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 shares a date with another major airline disaster, the crash of TWA Flight 800 over Long Island on July 17, 1996.
They are all remembered…RIP.

It's so hard to imagine
It's so hard to imagine how life can be taken, so unexpectedly and in only a moment. My heart breaks to think of the innocence of these souls. Many were young children traveling with their families with excitement of vacation or returning home with memories of one. I can't imagine the grief of those you said, "See you soon" or "I can't wait to see you again."
