In Loving MemoryIt is with deepest sorrow we announce the unexpected death of Joel Kattlin Laquette, born on December 7, 1998 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Sadly, on Saturday January 6, 2018 Joel passed away at the young age of 19. He is survived by his father Lawrence Laquette (Kathy), Mother June Flett (Harold), Sisters Laura (Jason), Lolanda (Greg), brothers Lionel, Aaron, Jorel (Jennica), Dorion, Braiden, Larry, Step-sister Shauntaya, Step-brother Kennaston, Special big Sister Dominique and girlfriend Aaliyah. Joel is predeceased by his grandparents John and Laura Laquette, Uncle Roy, Aunty Janet and Cousins Melody, Marla and Destiny.Joel will be remembered for his smile that would light up the room. He had a great sense of humor and was very outgoing. He will also be remembered for his kindness and had the ability to raise the spirits of those who were down. Joel enjoyed online gaming, spending time with his girlfriend and hanging out with his siblings. He will be 19 forever and we will cherish the time he spent with us here on earth. Fly high Joel, may you find eternal happiness.
I was very sad to learn of Joel's passing. I taught Joel at Gordon Bell High School and knew him as a fun person who was gifted in many ways. My sympathies to his family and close friends at this sad time. He is missed by many at Gordon Bell High School who knew him. Patrick MacDougall
Nothing I say can ever ease the pain that your parents and siblings are going through right now. It's unbelievable that you're gone.
