Idell Lee Carter

She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late George Lee and Idell Patterson. She was a homemaker most of her life and a dedicated member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She also sold Avon cosmetics for 20+ years.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Freddie James “Pete” Carter; and two sons, Eric Carter and Curtis Lee.

She is survived by three children, Robert Lee (Monica) of Woodbridge, VA, Nicole Wood (Willis) of Waycross, and Melissa Stout (Chris) of Fort Myers, FL; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Lee, Jamie Lee, Jasmin Lee, Eric Carter, Jr., Daniel Carter, Jade Lee, Derrick Stewart, Nazir Lee, and Jalil Lee; three great grandchildren; five sisters, Barbara Smith, George Ann Smith, Eileen Lee, Thelma Harris, and Crystal Tate all of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Michael Lee, Stephen Lee (Beverly), and Omar Harris all of Philadelphia, PA; two aunts, Dorothy Hill of Philadelphia, PA and Willie Bell Franey of Atlanta, GA; several brother and sister-in-laws, Arthur Carter (Hazel), Alice Murchinson, Emma Thomas, Ruth Miller (Richard), James T. Carter (Sarah), Bobby Carter (Adrienne), Debbie Henley, and Willie Carter (Pat); a special nephew, Marc Harris of Philadelphia, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, special friends, and other relatives
