Place of birth: Carteret, NJ

Donald Pirrong, Sr. 9-2-30 – 3-18-17 From Lady Lake, Florida, originally from Carteret, New Jersey, Don passed away from heart failure while fishing, his favorite pastime. He was raised and schooled in Carteret, then joined the U.S. Air Force being stationed in Alaska, Texas, and Shreveport, Louisiana where he met and married his love Mary while stationed at Barksdate Air Force Base. Two children, Donald Pirrong, Jr. and Deborah Chervenak were born.  After being honorably discharged the family moved back to Carteret, New Jersey and another daughter, Dorothea was born. Don was a house painter with his dad for awhile then went to work for a copper refinery. After retiring from there he become a Security Guard for a trucking company.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, becoming a licensed hunter safety instructor for many years. Don is survived by a son, Donald of Elizabeth, New Jersey and a daughter Deborah Chervenak of Colorado, a brother, Frank of West Virginia.  Six Grandchildren, Kathleen, Ryan, David, Matthew, Jeremy and Katelyn.  Six Great Grandchildren Jaton, Brady, Brook, Abagail, Samarra and Benjamin.  He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Bertha, sisters, Alberta and Lillian and Daughter Dorothea. Don requested no services.  He is to be cremated with his ashes laid to rest next to Mary in New Jersey.
