Ted earned his Eagle Scout Award over the period of years he was in Boy Scouts. He graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree from IU at Bloomington, In. Ted married his soul mate Linda Stetler on May 3, 1985. Ted advanced in education and training and became a skilled laboratory technician for the Veteran’s Administration hospital in Marion, Indiana where he raised his two children. Ted eventually took a different government position working as a laboratory technician for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in Eagle Butte, South Dakota.

Funeral Notice Detail

Ted developed heart disease that became apparent when he became ill on New Year\'s Eve this past year. Ted and Linda were visiting family in Ft. Wayne, In for the Christmas and New Year\'s holidays from Eagle Butte, SD. They stayed for the funeral for Linda\'s dad, Eldon Stetler after New Year\'s Day then drove back to South Dakota. He became acutely ill and was hospitalized for a short time where he had a stent placed in his main heart artery. Ted was released to go home to get stronger for open heart surgery in March and after he arrived in Eagle Butte the evening of January 23, Ted passed away quickly and quietly. He is safe in the arms of Jesus.

Ted is survived by his wife Linda Stetler. Daughter Amanda, significant other Jeff, grandson Marshall, granddaughter Brianna. Son Michael and wife Kayla and granddaughter Peyton Victoria. Sisters Lois Baldridge-Roseberry and Lee Ann Baldridge- Franklin. Linda\'s family members are very close to them and they are sisters Denise and Lorna (married to David) and brother Doug, with one sister deceased Dianne. There are many nieces and nephews that are part of this large and loving family as well as great nieces and nephews. Also, Linda\'s Aunt Susie.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is planned for February 7, 2015 at 1 PM. We will gather at Lester\'s Banquet Hall, 1502 Bluffton Road, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. We invite you for sandwiches and fellowship and to bring something to place on Ted\'s Table that reminds you of him.
