Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929.His parents where Alberta Williams King and Martin Luther King, Sr. King was a preacher who spoke in biblical cadences and preached at his father’s old church. King was a man of extraordinary physical courage whose belief in nonviolence never swerved. He was a civil rights leader and fought for equal rights for African Americans. He’s mostly famous for his “I have a dream” speech he gave in Washington D.C. in front of 200,000 people. This speech touched many lives and also made people look at each other in a more respectful way regardless of racist. Not only was he fighting for freedom for his people, he also was fighting for his family who they had faced several death threats and even had a bomb planted on their house. He never let of this keep him from fighting for freedom for his people. King leaves behind his beautiful wife Coretta Scott King and their four children Yolanda King, Martin Luther King III, Dexter Scott King, and Bernice King.
