California, Oregon, and Washington, ending up back in Northern California in 1999.   Between her growing up years and travels as an adult, she’s been to 49 of the 50 states!  She never made it to Alaska.   She loved her family and was close to her son’s, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Enjoying hosting or attending family gatherings as often as possible.   Violet greatly enjoyed to travel and vacationed in multiple locations in Mexico and Hawaii her last big trip was to Costa Rica just a few years ago.  She also love Amusement parks and Roller Coasters.   She loved to love on people and over the years worked and served people in many different setting. In the 70’s she went to school and became a beautician, she loved the old school beauty salon, but as times were changing didn’t feel she fit in to the new faster pace of this profession going into the 80’s.    In the 80’s she worked for Colusa County Senior Nutrition Program “Meals on Wheels” and was the Senior Volunteer Program Coordinator.  After leaving that job she worked at a local flower shop and was very involved with VFW Ladies Auxiliary and loved visiting disabled veterans, raising awareness for POW’s, among other things.  She also enjoyed bowling and bowled in Women’s and Couples Leagues.   In the 90’s life took her first to the Bay area where she worked as a bill collector and then a ceramic whole sale business, during this time she took classes and made several porcelain baby dolls.  Moving north to Oregon she briefly worked as a sales clerk and when retail hours conflicted with time with her husband she resigned.  They later moved to the Seattle Washington area and this is where she recommitted her life to God and started attending church regularly.   Returning to Northern California, she lived in the Chico area from 1999 to 2004.  During that time she took classes and completed her CNA certificate working in private elderly care and a nursing home for a period of time.  In 2004 she moved to Oroville and shortly after found her church home at Palermo Bible Family Church, where she served in many capacities, Assistant leader of the Senior Group, helping with food give a ways, preparing meals, sewing clothes for kids in Africa, she went on a Mexico Mission trip taking shoes to Mexico, she was also involved in the Women’s Ministry and keeping the church bulletin board up to date.    Violet was dearly loved and will be greatly missed!    Please join us celebrating her life Friday morning April 12, 2019, between 11:00am and 2:00pm at Palermo Bible Family Church, 2570 N.
