Timothy Fabian

Place of birth: St. Louis, Mossouri

Religious affiliation: Christian

Timothy L. Fabian  was born in St. Louis, Missouri, November 15, 1951. His parents, Lawrence H. Fabian and Eileen Louise (Coff) Fabian are also natives of St. Louis.  Tim grew up in St. Louis , attended school there, and eventually owned a bar there and ran it until 1978. At that time he packed the family station wagon with all his belongings and moved to the area of San Diego, California. Not long after his arrival he began work in construction, ultimately entering into business with his longtime partner John Kavanagh. Kavanagh Construction evolved from a concrete business into general contracting. When John retired several years ago, Tim ran the business and built it into a commercial niche specializing in veterinary clinic design and building. Over the years he worked with many people, clients as well as sub-contractors, and all have been well served by his impeccable work ethic, generosity, creativity, intelligence, commitment, and high standards for the finished project.  His younger brother, Mark Fabian, is also in the contracting business in the San Diego area. Tim has had a lifelong love of all vehicles and motorcycles. Beginning with his 1969 Roadrunner, he pursued an avid interest in collecting, driving, and working on American muscle cars. Tim also became an avid motorcycle collector and enthusiast, starting with Harley Davidson and Honda, and in recent years developing a great affinity for BSA motorcycles. Tim and his wife Gabrielle met in 1992 at church. Their first date was on Tim’s birthday that year. Tim and Gabrielle were married in 1996. Tim has been a loving husband, as well as being a caring and generous stepfather to Christine Brown and Stephanie Brown. Tim’s passage was unexpected and has left many in deep sorrow.  Tim’s consistent optimism and ability to help us laugh  are only a small part of the magnificent man he was, and will be the focus of a Celebration of Life on Tuesday Oct 4, 2016. There will be a Viewing from 11-12p.m., followed by a Celebration Service from 12-1 p.m.  Viewing and Service will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, California 93012. There will be a reception immediately following at Tim and Gabrielle’s home. All are encouraged to attend as we celebrate Tim’s life. The family requests considering support for World Vision or The Gary Sinise Foundation in lieu of flowers.
