He retired from the U.S. Marines and became jack of all trades working in different companies. He received Jesus as his personal savior and was an active member of a Baptist church until he lost both his legs due to diabetes over the years.

Om April 12, 2015 Theodore Sanders went home to be with the Lord. He leaves to celebrate his life his beloved wife Esther, two sons Yogonda and Desmond, three daughters Malinda, Paula and Brandi and five step-daughters Daphne, Busi, Thoko, Zoey and Nyasha.
