Stuart M. Gurewitz was the oldest son of Louis and Sally Gurewitz of Silver Spring, MD. He was a US Navy veteran. Stuart was married to Loretta L. Whitt and had four sons; Gregory L., Jeffrey S., Gary M. and Danny J. Gurewitz. He was the owner of the esteemed Parkway Deli in Silver Spring, MD. Stuart retired to Fort Lauderdale, FL. He fought heart and stroke disease for many years and will now go to be with his mother and father.

Stuart M. Gurewitz, age 78 of Washington, DC passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Greg and Leslie Gurewitz of New Market, MD; son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Crissy Gurewitz of Lawrenceville, GA; son Gary Gurewitz of Rockville, MD, son and daughter-in-law; Danny Gurewitz and Deb Roemer of Rockville, MD; grandchildren: Jake, Mathew, Noah, Samantha, Jackson, Cristian, Jai, Idan and Sasha; brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Anna Gurewitz of West Palm Beach, FL. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Temple Beth El Memorial Gardens, 4900 Griffin Road, Davie, FL 33314. A gathering at his home in Fort Lauderdale, FL will follow the Memorial Service. A second Memorial Service in MD for friends and family will also be held. Date and time to be added once set up.
