Sharon Kay Ford, of Eugene Oregon, passed away Friday September 26 2014 of Congestive Heart Failure. She was 68.
Sharon was born in Murphysboro, Illinois on Sunday February 3 1946, to Lyman and Myrtle Rodenberry Bennett. She was baptized Saturday December 1 1956 at St Mary’s Catholic Church. She was adopted in 1952 by Frederick Heitzman.
Sharon was married to John Walter Harrison on Tuesday October 1 1963; they were married 6 years Sharon then married Robert Lee Ford on Wednesday February 4,1970; they were married 13 ½ years.
She went to Willamette High School but got her GED Thursday June 9 1983 thru Lane Community College.
Sharon enjoyed reading, fishing, flower arrangements, art and playing dice. She was also actively involved in helping residents at the nursing facility.
Survivors included a brother Rob Heitzman and sister Nita Capps both of Eugene, 3 kids Ronald Harrison of Marcola, Ronda Jones of Eugene, and Wendi Ellis of LaPine; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by all 3 parents and 1 grandchild.
Funeral Notice Detail
The will be no funeral service to be held per Sharon’s request. A memorial service will be on Saturday Nov 8, 2014 at Avamere Eugene Rehab. Brother Gary will be officiating. The scattering of the ashes will at Alsea Falls by immediate family only. Cremation arrangements were handled by Andreason's Funeral Home
