This is a way for my brother Sam and me to pay tribute to our Mom who passed away on Wednesday, February 2017.
We are at distance from each other, we were at distance from our Mom when she passed away; our hearts are broken. And we miss our Mom, but we also know that she’s at peace and no longer in pain. This is just a small tribute from the two of us.
She left behind a husband, another son, a son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, a sister, two brothers, nieces, and nephews as well.
So, for our beautiful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt, who did see and speak with us in the months, weeks, and days prior to her passing we have a little poem in honor of her; she’s so very missed and thought of every single day.
Mom, we thought of you with so much love today, but that’s nothing new.
We thought of you yesterday, the day before that, and the day before that one, too.
We often think of you in silence and we often speak your name.
But, all we have are the memories and your picture in our frames.
Your memory is forever our keepsake with which we’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping. We have you in our hearts.
We love and miss you more than words can express. Godspeed, Mom, Godspeed.
