Mary Pike died peacefully with her sister Carol by her side on January 1, 2018. She was born in Limerick, Ireland to John and Eileen Collins.  She moved to England at age 7 and In 1962, she married John Pike and had two daughters, Nichola and Joanna.  In 1980, John passed away and she moved with her daughters to the United States.  The family lived in Bordentown, NJ. where she worked as a cook at the Johnstone Training Center and later at NJ Dept of Corrections in Jamesburg NJ .She retired in 1996.  Mary and the family later moved to Burlington, NJ and Mary eventually relocated to Fort worth Texas in 2013 to be close to her sister Carol.  She was a very talented lady.  In her lifetime she created magnificent Wedding cakes, photo albums, bridesmaid dresses and hundreds of crocheted baby outfits.  She was an avid cook that had friends and family flock to her kitchen to have a tasty meal.  She never gave you a small plate, only Mary Pike portions.  She touched so many people with her witty “Mrs. Doubtfire” personality. She sounded like the queen of England but had a twist of Irish potty mouth. She will be fondly remembered for addressing everyone with “Hi my Darling”.  She made everyone she met feel like they were the most important person in the world to her. Always a kind word or action to show her affection.  She will be missed dearly by all that knew her.Mary is predeceased by her cherished daughter Joanna Pike and her sister, Angela Mundell (England).  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter Nichola Rich and son in law, Price (Rick), her sister, Carol (Don)Cohen, her brother in law William Mundell, and sister in law Christine MacKinnon. Four Grandchildren; Jordan Johnson, Jason and Jaden Rich and Rashonda Boone.  Four nephews, Alex (Jane) MacKinnon, Matt (Arby) Cohen, and Paul (Kristie) Cohen. Two nieces, Elizabeth Mundell (England) and Susan (Steve) Newman (England) Her extended family Ann Dykes, Evelyn Rich, Donna Quaye and John Rich. Her very special friends, Carol Burton, Barbara Hoffman, Pat Land and Kathleen Flynn and a host of friends and extended family

Funeral Notice Detail

The family will have a private viewing followed by cremation in Fort Worth, Texas. A Memorial service will be held in NJ.  Details to follow.
