This image shows my daughter Rosa saying her final goodbye to her friend Alfie who took his own life while she was on an exchange trip in Spain. She stands in front of his grave which we decorated with roses and photographs. It was in a beautiful cemetary in his home town which is several hours from where he lived. It  did not look like he had been visited as the earth was cracked and there were the original wreaths from the funeral which were dead.. It felt that we were abandoning him leaving him there by himself. She was 13 and he was 14 when he died a few months ago. His death changed our lives completely. Their last conversation was organising a picnic to celebrate her return but 2 days later he was dead and this was the first time she had been able to grieve properly.
