Bob, You were the best neighbor one could have had. I know Truckee was your little slice of Heaven and I will think about you often as I sit on my back deck on ponder the world.

Dear Bob I am sending you a huge virtual hug as always. How fortunate we are that you found my address again so many years after our first meeting, enabling us to rekindle what was to be a long enduring supportive and loving connection during some very difficult times. You know how dear you are to me and will always be. Love you Jean He was a very special man who had so much love to give. I know he was loved tremendously by his dear family whom he adored. To be surrounded with love as he left this World would have been of great solace to him and of course your ability to provide support for each other would be invaluable. I will be lighting a candle for him, our beliefs and faith sustain us through life and I know Bob carried his religion deep in his big heart and soul.

Message to Bob from Gail and John Sides Feb. 11th

Hi Bob, Just want you to know that you have been in our thoughts and prayers. We wished we lived close so we could visit you. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives. You have touched our lives and we love you. We know we don't have to tell you that you have raised such a fine gentleman in Nate and all your children. In times when I need comfort I always think of my dad singing one of my favorite hymns and the words "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me." We love you Bob! ...Gail and John

Dearest Bob........yes, I am still addressing this to you, because you are nowhere near gone in any of our hearts & souls......and never will be. You were (are) definitely one of a kind. For some reason, I decided to search through all of the emails that we have exchanged over the years (OK, maybe not all......but since I last cleaned them up, which goes back a couple of years......:) Sometimes you could be so cryptic in your responses (sometimes not), but WITHOUT FAIL when it was a "human to human" experience, you were 110% present and those encounters stand out most in my mind. I value all of the moments we (and our OTC pod) shared together - I so appreciate the fact that we had no filters, and could laugh the night away while still ruminating on the issues at hand. I am so thankful that I got to be a 20+ year passenger on your lifelong train. I treasure that and will love you forever, my friend.........xoxo Nancy
