Aria Dara Valerii – Devin Nicole Guirgis.October 7, 1987 – June 3, 2020

I am eternally grateful for the life of a woman I am so proud to call my friend, my love, the one of a kind, beyond extraordinary, immensely compassionate, highly intelligent, and forever irreplaceable Aria.Aria treasured family and friends, but combined with happiness and laughter, this was her paradise on earth. When she spoke of her friends, cousins and family from the east coast to California, half of Europe and all of Puerto Rico, the thought brought a devastating smile to her face which could make a grown man weak in the knees. She was a champion of meliorism, helping all she could. She was generous in her compassion, hungry for philosophy, an advocate for strong women in business, driven by her love of music and art. She was a fireball and would argue with you about why she was always right. I’m one of the few people on earth she apologized to when she realized she could be wrong, which may explain why she loved me so intensely. She was an epic love story for me and for many of us. She embraced her Egyptian and Puerto Rican heritage with pride, combined with her Jersey Girl and So Cal upbringing, Dassit! Her strength and beauty were beyond Queen Cleopatra and Nefertiti combined. She wasn’t just pretty, she was as beautiful as a woman could be to the point where it was unfair to others around her and some resented her for it. If they only knew her perfection in beauty took only 2 to 3 hours per day in front of the mirror with an iron, blow dryer, two cans of hair spray, extensions, eye lashes, colored contacts and 4 or 5 sets of wardrobe. If she was 2 hours late, that would be her idea of being on time. She was an Angel on earth who could rescue you from the depths of hell and make you realize you love something more than you love yourself. I loved her with no bounds in her times of pure joy and even more when she was sad and in poor health. She would exude love as naturally as the sun gives off heat. She was my weakness and I was her strength. The way she loved her family, friends, me and my boys, has broken my heart in the best way possible. God loved you so much he couldn’t wait.Rest in Peace Aria.
