Funeral Notice Detail
Celebrating the life of Karen Sue Plumb Orick Smith (Sue) who passed away on July 9th at the age of 74 due to complications of advanced cancer. Sue was born to Frances Ford Plumb and Peggy Shutterwhite Plumb on April 17, 1941 in Morgantown, WV, but spent most of her life in Richmond, VA and the surrounding counties.
Sue is proceeded in death by her parents, her youngest sister, Judy and brothers Eddie and John. She is also proceeded by her loving husband William Lee Smith (Bill) by only 2 months.
She is survived by a large family that will miss her dearly: sisters - Patricia Hall, Kaye Morgan and Jenny Heller, brother - Jimmy Plumb, children - Terry (Greg) Swiney, Harold Orick, Michelle (Tommy) Milstead, and Pattie (Patrick) Shipley, grandchildren - Amanda Swiney, Victoria Swiney, Rebecca Lilly, Scotty Swiney, Ethan Milstead and Aaron Milstead, and great grandchildren - Anthony, Andrew, Willow and Jaxon.
