Biography:
Nina R. Huggins Traylor, age 77, died peacefully in her sleep at her Metairie, Louisiana home on November 2, 2015. She is survived by her only child, daughter Treach Elaine Miller , Stepsons Lamar Traylor & Kevin Traylor, Step Daughter Toni Dufrene, Granddaughters Natalee Raquel Miller, Monica Paige Colacurcio and Kaitlin C. Taulton, Grandson Blake Martin Matthew Miller, Great-grandsons Devin Michael Miller and Ari Cash Jones, her Sisters Mary Falco and Betty Gaylord and her Brothers: Michael Sanders, Billy Sanders, Jack Huggins, Ed Huggins, John “Buddy” Huggins, Paul Huggins, Tony Huggins and Bobby LaGrange; and a long list of loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husbands Marvin A. Jones of Franklin, Tennessee, and Tommy Traylor of Metairie, Louisiana. Mrs. Traylor graduated from St. Joseph High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed two years of college in preparation for her career positions with State Farm Insurance, Universal Furniture and Guaranty Mortgage. Before her retirement in 2003, she worked nearly 20 years as a receptionist and administrative assistant for the Southern Forest Products Association in Kenner, Louisiana. Her family and friends will always remember her for putting the needs of others before her own and always as a loving, caring and most generous person. At the request of Mrs. Traylor, traditional funeral services will not be held and memorial arrangements are being made by her family to honor her in a “Celebration of Life” ceremony in the Spring of 2016 on the beach in Gulfport, Mississippi. Her ashes will rest among the waves.
