Place of birth: Michigan
Religious affiliation: Catholic
Sometimes people live quiet, uneventful lives that only briefly pass through others, and this is okay. Micaela was a quiet, yet passionate individual that found her road difficult at times, but passable. She loved to listen to music, and found peace and solitude most comforting along her journey. She started out as a nursing assistant at a local hospital in Flint, Michigan, and retired as a ward clerk. Even though she had her own difficult road to journey along, she gave comfort to many cancer patients in her ward. She will be most remembered by her children Brett Anthony Devee Garcia, Micaela Garcia Battiste, Briana Garcia Battiste, and her only grandchild, Gabriella Battiste. She was preceded in death by her brother, Miguel Garcia Jr., and her father, Miguel Garcia. She leaves behind her mother, Esther, her sisters Margaret, Elizabeth, Helen, and her brother Edwardo, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
