Maggie is survived by her 5 children,John(Joyce), Emma, Alila(Willie) Ruben(Sarah) and Dock; her godson Elbert, her 3 sisters, Sylvia, Della, and Ann(Robert) and 15 grandchildren a host of great and great great grand children and numerous other family members and friends. Maggie had a passion for God and people, she served in her church as a Missionary, Evangelist, and Mother at the Whole Bible Church under the leadership of Apostle David A. Wirt. Maggie earned her Associates degree in nursing but later in the 1980’s she joined a organization known as the ACORN ( Association Of Community Organized For Reform Now) and there she began her journey as a civil rights activist. Maggie was an active member of NAACP( National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), CORR (Commission on Religion and Racism), NAC(Neighborhood Action Council) until her health failed yet her voice remained. Maggie was faithful to God and her community until her death.
