Leighton was an amazing musician. He had a great sense of humor and the most beautiful ice blue eyes you ever saw. Thankfully, he passed those traits on to his daughter 🙂 He loved her very much, and I know it was very hard to leave her behind knowing she was only 5. He fought his whole life against a lung disease called Primary Pulmonary Hypertension and its affects on his body. Even after a double lung and heart transplant at age 27, complications took him away from us far too soon at age 29 – a whole 10 years longer than what the doctors predicted for him! We are blessed to have had him in our lives, and we look forward to seeing him in heaven. We rejoice knowing that he is with a new, perfect body and that he will never again feel that pain. Praise God for the blessings he has given us!
