Karen Moriarity
Place of birth: Buffalo, New York
Karen Moriarity 03/23/1949-04/26/2017 “A beautiful soul is never forgotten. “ Karen passed away peacefully on April 26th after a several year battle with cancer. Karen hailed from Buffalo New York, and lived several decades in San Francisco, the place that she loved and called home. If you knew Karen, you knew that she was a thoughtful, compassionate woman, who truly sought out to see the good in all. Karen was a huge supporter of LGBT, human, and animal rights. She loved animals, especially her little Nicky, Dusty Springfield, music, travel, people, cooking, her goils, and life in general. Did I mention Dusty Springfield? Karen truly believed in and knew how to give people a helping hand up, even if only in the form of a kind word to a soul in need. Karen was loved by many for her natural optimism, kindness and caring personality. If you wish to make a donation in Karen’s memory, she was a big supporter of UCSF Medical center, all LGBT rights groups, Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, SF Opera, SF Conservatory of Music, and the SFSPCA. Good-bye dear woman – you are loved and missed. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory No one can steal”
