James (Jimmy) Allen was born to the late Mr. Cornelius Allen and the late Catherine Allen on October 23rd, 1935. James was educated in the South Carolina school system and then moved to New Jersey with his wife, Willene Missouri-Allen and from that union 6 children were born. Later, James started his own construction company and built houses in the South Jersey area. James quickly rose to financial freedom through wise real estate investments and was able to help two of his siblings start their own car dealership and plumbing company in South Jersey. James was known as the man with the engaging smile, the best dancer in South Jersey, the best pool player and “Preacher Man.”
James had a strong love for his family, especially his daughters and granddaughters. James believed in educating those that wanted to be educated and he had a saying that went as such; “I’m not wasting my hard earned money trying to educate someone that doesn’t want to learn.” No one can deny his fame in the New Jersey area. He will be missed and he leaves to cherish his memories; one son Timothy and 4 daughters Kathleen (Jacob) Jiles, Mary Ann Robinson, Priscilla (Art) McCoy & Sabrina Allen. 62 Grandchildren and 54 Great Grandchildren, Family and a host of friends.
