Place of birth: Green Bay, WI
Religious affiliation: Christian
Izyk Sha Vang, a disciple of Jesus Christ, an obedient doer and reader of the word of God and a citizen of heaven, has gone home on 11/9/18 @ 9:40pm, surrounded by his loved ones at home. Izyk 24 y/o, born and raised in Green Bay, WI on 8/29/94, was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2013 and during this time, God has shown him many ways in which he was with him and answered his prayers. Throughout his cancer journey, he remained positive, learned to have hope and peace and taught us that “I will do my best to fight, but whether I live or die, I just pray that God uses my life for his Glory.” This was encouraging to all of us and indeed was accomplished by his actions. In the 24 years of blessings and life he’s lived here, he began to find God until his entire mission and purpose was to give God the Glory in everything he did. Izyk grew up loving the game of basketball and started playing from the age of 8. He played organized basketball at Franklin Middle School and West High School. He also has a love of worshipping God through music. He plays the electric guitar and has been playing it for 10 years. He was also on the youth praise and worship team for 5 years, including his high school years. He was raised in a supportive church, Green Bay Hmong Alliance, who through God helped developed his faith. Izyk was involved in children’s ministry, youth ministries, and single adult ministries. He was also a passionate leader for Young Life, created many precious memories there and did not allow cancer to stop him from doing what he loves. Izyk was a student at NWTC and Moody Bible Institute and didn’t get to finish, however had a wonderful experience. Izyk has a sponsored child name Brilliant from Kenya that he funds through Christianrelieffund.org and another one name Ibra from Tanzania funded through Compassion.com. You are welcome to join us in writing letters to them and praying for them. Izyk has made an impact in the community and many others in so many different ways. His love and joy will always be remembered by many. Izyk left behind his parents, Panh Nha Song and Tou Vang, his younger siblings: brothers Jordan (Sarah Soung), Rikki, and sister Justice, and newborn niece Harper, that he finally got to meet at 7 days old shortly before he passed. This was another prayer that God answered. Izyk is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Pung Chong & Vang Thao; and his paternal grandparents, Youa Lor Vang and Soua Yang. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles from his dad’s side: Kayoua Vang (Teng Kong), Ka Vang (Yia Moua), Yer Vang (Bay Paborriboon), Johnny Vang (Myra Lor), cousins Jonathan Kong, Melissa Kong, Mindy Kong, Michelle Kong, Joshua Kong, Jasmine Kong, Asea Moua, Andy Moua, Kailee Moua, Adrien Paborriboon, Ian Paborriboon, Reylin Paborriboon, Pierson Vang, Gracelyn Vang, Nowen Vang. Aunts and uncles from his mom’s side: Bao Thao (Saoyee Xiong), Julie Thao (Dale Vang), Elvis Thao (still single), cousins: Kelia Xiong, Nora Xiong, Coreena Xiong, Lucia Xiong, Shana Xiong, Matthias Xiong, Arhya Vang, Julius Vang, Zoey Vang, Edyn Vang Memorial donations can be made via paypal to jordannvang@hotmail.com Thank you so much to the Green Bay Hmong Alliance church for handling this funeral and to Legacy Funeral Chapels.
