Georgia Mills Harris was born May 25,1925, to the parentage of Tom Mills and Lilly Walker Mills, pioneer citizen of Baldwin County. She transitioned to the spiritual realm to be with the lord on the morning of March 05,2014.
At an early age, she joined Friendship Baptist Church and continued to be a faithful member until her death. As a member of WMBS Society and Friendship Gospel Choir, Mrs. Harris also remained a loyal and faithful servant until her health declined.
Georgia Mills Harris was united in Holy Matrimony to Marion Harris on December 16, 1945. This union brought forth a son and two daughters. Her husband, Marion Harris preceded her in death.
Cherished memories shall always cling to the hearts of her family. Survivors included: her son, Gregory Harris and wife, Linda of Detroit, MI; two daughters, Vonda Harris Andrews and Monica Harris, Both of Milledgeville, GA; seven grandchildren: Tamara Harris, Ginger Young, Keyon Andrews, Vonderia Andrews, Jourdan Harris, Jason Harris, and Janae Harris; one great grandchild, Javia Solomon; adopted daughter; Doris ‘MiMi’ Rice and Debra Lamar, both of Milledgeville, Ga; two sisters, Katie B. Ducan of Milledgeville, GA and Rose Kelsey of Detroit, MI; sister-in-law Viola Kemp of Philadelphia, PA and a host of other relatives.
