Garry Fink
Place of birth: Elkton, MD
Our beloved Garry Fink was called home by the Lord on November 28, 2020 when he passed away unexpectedly after a sudden illness.
Garry never met a stranger, befriending all that crossed his path. With a heart for giving, he was always there for a friend in need. His jolly old soul brought joy year round, but especially during the Christmas season when he dressed all in fur from his head to his foot and became “Santa”, and the best Santa we have known. It wasn’t just his rosy cheeks and his beard white as snow, but Garry’s inviting personality that undoubtedly drew people to him, both old and young.
As a Navy Veteran, Garry embraced the concept of serving others, living life as an active participant in his community. He served as a member of the Paynes Volunteer Fire Department, a deacon of Paynes Baptist Church and a mentor to all. Garry is survived by his wife, Sandra Stroud Fink, his mother-in-law, Amaryllis Stroud, his daughters, Jessica Kifer (Chuck) and Avril M Fink, his son Frank, his step-sons, Michael Hicks (Dana) and Christopher Hicks (Jennifer) and several grandchildren.
