Gale Prodor
Place of birth: Montreal, Quebec
Religious affiliation: Protestant
Gale Anne Prodor was born on January 14th, 1941. In her 75th year, she slipped quietly into God’s embrace after a valiant battle with lung cancer. Her vivacious spirit, glowing smile and heart filled with compassion will fit in perfectly in God’s presence.
Gale’s life began in Montreal Canada, but she spent the majority of her childhood in Edmonton Alberta. Edmonton is where she met her best friend, partner and one to true love, Leon “Lee” Prodor and they spent 34 loving years together. In that time they raised their three children with patience, love and strength of character which to this day is the foundation of their life.
Gale was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and daughter, who loved her family, her church, country music and all that San Diego has to offer. She adored her three grandchildren, and dedicated herself to them – their pursuits, dreams of growth and adulthood.
Gale is survived by her children: Michael Prodor, Cathy Prodor, and Leah Perrelli; her three grandchildren: Courtney Prodor, Douglas “DC” Prodor, and LeeAnne Broadfoot all of San Diego California; as well as her mother, Crill Merrick, sister, Donna Kusch and brother, Doug Merrick. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Prodor of San Diego, California, and her father, Douglas Merrick, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
God’s Garden
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, ‘Peace be Thine’.It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
