Bean, Ervin 84, passed away September 9, 2015, in Southaven, Mississippi, after an extended illness. He was born February 11, 1931, in Lakin, Kansas, to the late Boyd and Pearl. He is preceded in death by cancer. He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn (Cookie) Fields (Nesbit, Mississippi), Joyce Blauuw (Whittier), California,; and Mary Brown (Sparks, Nevada); as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ervin was deaf, and attended the Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe, Kansas, where he learned the art of printing. He was a printer for a majority of his working life, except for his time working for a timber company and Ford Motor Company. He retired from the Hutchinson News in Hutchinson, Kansas, after 29 years of service there. In retirement, he enjoyed camping and travel, before moving south to Mississippi. In lieu of a funeral service, Ervin requested his body be donated to Genesis Medical Education and Research Institute in Memphis, Tennessee
