Edward K. Rita was born and raised in Lihue on the island of Kauai. He was a loving son, grandson, fiancé, brother and friend. Raised by his Grandmother, he grew up a free spirit, surfing, riding horses and helped his Grandmother take care of children with disabilities. After graduating high school, he joined the rodeo circuit along with his cousin and competed in team roping as well as singles roping. At the age of 21, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served for 18 years until getting an honorable medical discharge. Edward returned home to Lihue where he met his beautiful fiancé Le’ala. Active member in his motorcycle club, he was loved by all his brothers and sisters for his big heart, his easy going aloha spirit and quick wit.  May Edward always be remembered and his aloha live on.
