Charlotte Marie Dolores Kent Mazur was born April 1, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio. She married Dan on September 12, 1970. A lifelong resident of Ohio, she lived all across the state before recently retiring to Florida in the winter months. Charlotte was an avid reader. She loved to sew, crochet, and cook. She enjoyed collecting and dealing vintage jewelry and antiques on her eBay store. She loved to find hidden treasures and deals at garage and estate sales. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. In the early years of their marriage, Charlotte and Dan were foster parents to over 45 children in Lima, Ohio. Charlotte also loved animals and often had to be talked out of adopting or rescuing more dogs because she wanted to give them a good home. She was outgoing and compassionate. She loved people and was often the life of the party. Charlotte loved her family more than anything and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Notice Detail
Charlotte passed away peacefully at home in Wesley Chapel, Florida, surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness and complications from surgery. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Martha & Cloyce Kent, and sister, Tillie Bunch. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Dan, her four children and daughter-in-laws, Geoff & Brittaney Mazur, Andy & Christina Mazur, Nathan & Jennifer Mazur, Katie & Matt Krawchyk and nine grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey, Ethan, Jackson, Grace, Emily, Thomas, Zoe and Lia. She is also survived by her siblings Teresa Fannin, Michelle & John Nichols, Greg & Martha Kent, and Raymond Bunch, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Peaches and Tinkerbell. Charlotte did not request a service and instead asks that donations be made to the Ashtabula County Animal Protection League https://www.acapl.org/#/ or the Animal Welfare Organization of your choice.
