After graduating High School and moving back to Bloomington, California he worked for Pace Wherehouse and other various jobs. While working for Alpha Beta Market he married his longtime girlfriend and best friend Christa Castro in 1994. His daughter Marissa Marie Bingham born in 1992 and was the light of his life and Daddy’s Girl who shared time with both he and her natural Mother JoAnn Bingham and truly made him the happiest father possible. As she got older she became clear she wanted Daddy and Christa to give her a sibling. Matthew Stephen Matcham was born April 19, 2001 and gave Shawn his dream. A beautiful daughter and handsome son both bright and gifted with talents and potential that made them a constant source of pride for him. After working for SanBernardino County in the Mail Services Department and Department of Childrenss Network 1994-2000 he worked for Herman Weissker and the City of SanBernardino in the Street Signage Department. When the jobs were lost to contracted personnel he stayed home to raise and care for Baby Matthew while supporting his wifes dream of obtaining her Bachelors Degree in 2005. Shawn went on to homeschool Matthew and became his coach at Rialto Eastern Little League where he participated on the Little League Board and helped his wife care for her dying father. Although Shawn did not return to a traditional job, his work ethic at home is what kept our family going when his father-in-law died and his wife returned to work. Shawn’s selfless acts of kindness will be forever remembered by those who grew to count on him and his ability tobe both organized and gifted in all handiwork was truly a blessing to our family. His presence, his ambition, and the kindnesses he would often show will be greatly missed.
