Rose (Bourgoin) Levesque

Place of birth: Stockholm ME

Rose Mary (Bourgoin) Levesque, 77, of Broad Brook, died peacefully in her home on April 19, 2015, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She passed just months before celebrating her 59th wedding anniversary to her beloved husband Clifford Levesque. Rose was born May 12, 1937 in Stockholm, ME, daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Saucier) Bourgoin. At two her mother passed away so she was raised by her grandmother Marie Dionne whom she was very close to until her passing. Besides her husband Clifford she is survived by her children Belinda Brace (Ken) of VT, Doreen MacDonald (Shawn Miller) CT, Karen Gagne Bilodeau (Mark) of Ct, And Clifford Levesque Jr. of SC, predeceased by her Uncle Armond Bourgoin. She also leaves her sister Lois Lowe, and grandchildren Ryan O’Connor (Samantha Hohn), Camden Brace, Christina MacDonald (Chris Boyd), Jamie MacDonald (Lea), Cody Gagne, Mitch Gange, and Kali Gagne as well as 5 great grandchildren, Christopher Boyd Jr., Emma Boyd, Lilly MacDonald, James MacDonald and Karma O’Connor. She was happiest spending time with her family and many of us have great memories of spending time at her home on Loon Pond in Acton ME.
She loved gardening and working in her flower beds, even when struggling with health issues her children and grandchildren would come help her maintain the gardens she and Cliff loved. Up until the last year of her life she was canning tomatoes, making strawberry shortcake with her great grandkids, knitting warm socks, picking dandelions and fiddleheads, playing cards, and carrying on many other lifelong traditions, her determination and stubbornness are things she will be remembered for.
For the last 20 years she and Cliff spent their winters in St. Petersburg FL. where she met some great friends Lou and Ray Doucette, Ralph and Bertie Dove, Linda Roberts, Bill and Dottie Schlenk, Tony and Emily Beaulieu, Donna and Mike Callahan, Pat and Scott, Claud and Ireneand John and Donna Watson, If I have missed anyone my apologies, she loved her time in Florida and so many watched over her in our absence.
