Born 6/28/1943 in Camden, NJ, died 2/17/2019 in Fairfield, OH.  Son of the late Floyd C. Smith and Anna Aughinbaugh Smith. Survived by wife Laurie (Spitzenberger) Smith, daughter Tara Conley (Mark), son Todd Smith (Genevieve), grandchildren Alex and Harper Smith, Robbie and Samuel Conley, Zoe and Ethan Missar.  A graduate of Delaware Valley College and the University of Michigan, Ron worked for 10 years as a sanitarian in Philadelphia, PA before joining the United States Public Health Service as a commissioned officer.  After 23 years with USPHS, he retired with the rank of Commander.  He also served for 12 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Palmyra, NJ Fire Department, for 20 years with the Greenhills, OH Fire Department, and was a member of the Greater Cincinnati HazMat Unit.  He was an avid photographer, and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, c/o Bethesda Foundation, P.O.
