Patsy Jo Smith passed peacefully into the Lord’s arms at home Thursday evening, April 9th 2015. Patsy was a very loving, creative and intelligent woman. She was a popular high school cheerleader who was a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education. Patsy is survived by three children, Joe Carter and wife Kathy of Kingsport TN, Rev. Mike Puckett and wife Tammy of Powell TN and Tina Childers and husband Robert of Powell TN; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Patsy was very active in church throughout her life as a Sunday school teacher, drama team member and puppeteer. She was best known as “Mrs. Pockets” of the Golden Springs Baptist Church puppet troop of Annisiton AL.

Funeral Notice Detail

There will be a celebration of her life on April 17th, 2015, at the \"Gathering Point\" of Gateway Community Church located at 841-6 Clinch Ave, Clinton TN 6:30-8 pm. A private ceremony will follow at her home. Patsy choose to be cremated, and her remains will be scattered at the home place of her grandmother in Nicklesville VA.
