Please join us for a celebration of the life of Mitchell David McGown.

Mitchell was born on Monday February 10, 1958 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to John William McGown Sr. and Mary Joanna Rickey. He was the youngest of three children. When Mitchell was 8 years old the family moved to Mesa, Arizona where he would reside for the rest of his life.

In addition to his many accomplishments Mitchell graduated from Westwood High School as well as received a degree in refrigeration in his younger years where he worked for Bob’s Air Co. He later went back to college to receive a degree in Web Development and Graphic Art and used this degree to obtain employment at The Boeing Company where he was employed for 17 years. He was a proud employee who was always thrilled to tell stories of how much he loved working for Boeing.

Mitch had an infectious personality and grand sense of humor. He was a talented musician as well and had an affinity for mechanics that led his life-long love for motorcycles and classic cars. He was an avid entertainer and lived to make people around him laugh.

Mitchell departed this form of life and began his new life at the side of the Lord on June 09, 2015 at 11:34am at Banner Baywood Hospital with Maddlin and Chance at his side. His passing was due to pneumonia and organ failure but was peaceful. He was 57 years old.

Mitchell is survived by his three beautiful children whom he was incredibly proud and loved very much. Mitchell has left to cherish his memory: Maddlin McGown (Greg Gerson), Chance McGown and Aiden McGown as well as his only grandson William Gerson. He is survived by his mother JoAnna Rickey (Bill Rickey). He is also survived by his sister Suzanne Brown (David Brown) and brother John McGown as well as his many beloved nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by countless friends and loved ones whom he made through the years. Mitchell is predeceased in death by his father John William McGown Sr.

We encourage anyone who wishes to have a celebration of life or gathering to honor the life of Mitchell to please consider having an independent celebration of Mitch’s life in any way they feel compelled or led.
