On Sunday, October 16th, 2016, the gates of heaven opened and the angels of God descended to Lafayette, La to carry Mary Lee Arceneaux to her final resting place. Mary was born on January 2nd, 1929 in Acadia, La to the late Frank Sinegal and Adolphine Chiasson. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Clarence Arceneaux. She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving husband of 60 years, Clarence Arceneaux of Acadia Parish; one daughter, Jacqueline Arceneaux Pitre (Michael) of Rayne, La; one son, Thomas Fields of Mire, La; five grandchildren, Victoria Arceneaux of Rayne, La, Thomas Fields Jr of Rayne, La, Connie Fields-Meaux (George) of Rayne, La, Bonnie Fields-Johnson (Douglas) of Pensacola, FL, and Ty Mouton (Renee) of Morse, La; seven great grandchild ; a host of nieces, nephews, two special little children, Payten Jones and Damond “Pnut” Mouton, three very special daughter in laws, Georgia Thibodeaux, , Diana Benthall, and Geneva Mouton, and a very special son in law, Michael Pitre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sinegal and Adolphine Chiasson; five sisters, Irene Logan, Mable Arceneaux, Lucille Julian, Rae Broussard, and Mary Sinegal; four brothers, Kagley Sinegal, Bagley Sinegal, Clement Sinegal, and Dewey Sinegal as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
