Place of birth: Newburgh, NY

Marilyn Joyce Faux was taken from this Earth on January 8, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer.  She was a 1965 graduate of Wallkill High School, Wallkill, NY.  During her lifetime she lived in Wallkill and upon marriage moved to Gardiner, NY.  She then moved to PA, and re-married to her current husband John.  They subsequently relocated to be near her parents in Lehigh Acres, FL.  After many years in Florida she and John relocated to the Raleigh, NC area to be nearer to her mother.  For many years she was a banker at various banks including Inter-County Savings Bank in New Paltz, NY and Colonial Savings Bank in Lehigh Acres, FL.  She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother and loved her babies more than anything.  Her life was spent being surrounded by her family and friends and she loved fishing with her husband and family.  She crocheted and made various crafts. Her love for birds was like no other. She would sit for hours watching her hummingbirds gather at the many feeders she hung. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth William Berryann Sr.  She is survived by her mother, Flora Mabel Berryann, her husband John Faux, her 4 children Lisa Mendoza, Michael Ecker Sr. and wife Marleen, Tammy Byrne and husband Shaun, Joni Hall, and their father, her first husband Christian William Ecker Jr.  She is also survived by her siblings Kenneth Berryann Jr. and wife Karen, Terri Walker, Thomas Berryann and wife Donna, and Donald Berryann and wife Carla; Grandchildren Michele Miller, George Miller and wife Candice,  Michael Ecker Jr., Brittany O’Brien, Meagan Ecker, Destiny Mendoza, Cassidy Thacker, Ashley Thacker, Jaelynn Mendoza, Nash Byrne, and Elaina Byrne; Great Grandchildren Zachary Miller, Briella Hall, Miracle Addison, Isaiah Miller, and unborn Gabriel. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles.  Marilyn will be greatly missed by all. Her wish was to be cremated, with no funeral service to be held at her request. There was a small memorial gathering held by family and friends in Wake Forest, NC.  Plans for an additional memorial gathering in New York are under way now with an announcement to come.
