Lottie Maupin Hallman was born on November 16, 1938 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Teague and Charlotte Maupin (fondly known as Nanny and Dada). She attended and graduated from Pine Bluff High School. In Spring of 1956, her senior year, she met the love of her life Jimmy Lee Hallman (who passed away June 16, 2010). They had their very first date on May 5th and then married on her 18th birthday, November 16, 1956. Lottie worked for the telephone company for 32 years first for Southwestern Bell in Little Rock, AR and then transferred and retired from Bell South in New Orleans, LA. She and Jim lived in Slidell, LA for 27 years and then in 2002 moved to Sherman, TX to be closer to their children and grandson.

Funeral Notice Detail

Lottie learned she had cancer the first time in 2003 and then again in 2006. She received rounds of chemotherapy every other week for 4 years, had a small stroke in 2008, and was considered cancer free in October 2014. In December 2014, January and early February 2015 she suffered with 2 heart attacks, a debilitating stroke and finally a bowel obstruction. She succumbed to the last assault on her poor body passing away peacefully at 9:45, February 6, 2015. She had survived her mother and father and two older sisters Sarah Francis Madison and Mildred Ann Frantz who were married to Eugene (Maddy) Madison and Victor Frantz (still living). Lottie has two surviving children, her son Michael Kevin Hallman and daughter Michelle Hallman Flores and her daughter-in-law, Elaine Miller Hallman and son-in-law Marcelo (Trae) Flores. Lottie was known as Nana by grandson, Caleb Hallman Flores, who was the other love of her life and known as Nanny by her granddaughter Amanda Paquette and one great grandson, Drake Paquette. Lottie was also survived by one niece Vickie Holton (married to David Holton), two nephews David Frantz (married to Lisa Frantz) and Edward (Eddie) Madison (married to Rita Madison).
