Was born on August 31, 1927, to the late Bradley McDonald and the late Mary Belle Armstrong McDonald in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She departed this earthly life at the age of 92 to be with her heavenly Father on February 16, 2020. Lillie attended school in Wilson, North Carolina. She married Jimmy D. Robbins in 1945 and from this union they had four children. She attended Wilson Chapel Church. Lillie moved to Washington, DC in 1974 to help with her grandchildren. On July 3, 1986, she retired early from The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia and became legal guardian to her grandsons Terry Robbins Sr., and Antonio Robbins. Lillie loved reading, cooking, dancing, and enjoying life. She enjoyed watching Judge Judy, Westerns, and WWE Wrestling. She was a great Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and devoted friend. Lillie was preceded in death by her ex-husband Jimmy Robbins; two daughters, Janice Robbins and Van Jewel Robbins; two brothers, Baby Brother McDonald and Swindell McDonald (her twin brother) and three sisters, Mary Edna McDonald Wilson, Annie McDonald Brown and Velez McDonald Farmer.Lillie leaves to cherish her loving memory: two loving daughters, Elnora Robbins Gear of Wilson North Carolina, Evangeline Robbins Coley of Gambrills, Maryland; eight grandchildren, James Gear, Vera Gear, Chantee Benson (Dwayne), Shirlene Gear, Tabitha Coley, Terry Robbins Sr., Antonio Robbins and Tamika Fowler (Dallas); twelve great-grandchildren, Brandon Gear, Dominique Gear, Terry Robbins Jr., Terique Robbins, Shania Fowler, Terrell Robbins, Darius Gear, Alexis, Naomi Robbins, Dallas Jr., Robert Neverdon III, and Layla Fowler; one great-great-grandchild, Ariyah Gear; two sisters, Clara McDonald Beville of Starkville, MS and Delphia McDonald Perry of Newark, NJ, one brother-in-law, Load Farmer of Newark, NJ, a special niece that she considered as a daughter, Bertha McDonald of Lawrenceville, Georgia, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
