Leticia Jimenez Schmidt

Place of birth: El Paso, Texas

Religious affiliation: Catholic

Leticia also known as ” Lety” was my mother and my best friend.  We spent hours and hours together.  She was a strong independent woman with a heart of Gold and a great love for her family.  She was joy to  be around, she had a smile that would light up a room.  She was loved by many people.  My mom was known to everyone as the baseball grandma for her love and devotion to baseball and her grandchildren.  She was at all of their  baseball games and never missed one. She loved her grandchildren unconditionally.  A devout Catholic she was there for everyone whenever you needed her. She lived most of her life in Los Angeles, California  after moving  from Juarez , Mexico in 1963.  She worked in the Signage industry and as a Cosmetologist until she became extremely sick with Rheumatoid Arthritis was unable to work.  She went through a lot with her chronic illnesses,  multiple surgeries and multiple sickness that took toll on her body.     This past year in 2016 she has had several complications with her health that   she was unable to recover from.  She loved her brothers and sister with all her heart and always had the most respect for them all. My mom was a wonderful person, and truly loved.  A part of me has gone with her to her resting place.  She will always be in my heart and missed tremendously.
