Joseph (Thunder) Thornton of Mesa, AZ passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He entered the army at the age of 17 and was a Korean War veteran. He was predeceased by his wife, Clarissa (Kris) Thornton who referred to him as the love of her life. He was also predeceased by his sisters Jane Eller, Roslyn (Roz) Donaghy, Regina (Jean) Deissroth, and his grandson Dathan Ruebeck. He is survived by his sister Frances Schiavo, daughters Sharon (Shay) Feeley, and Carol (K) Leckie and her spouse David. Granddaughters Joaane Feeley, Kristine Ruebeck and Michele Feeley. He also leaves behind 19 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who will all miss him. Joe and Kris together again for all eternity.
