John Patrick “Pat” Schell, Sr., passed away on Friday, 5 August 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen I. Schell; daughter, Catharine J. Rajan, grandchildren Fiona, Kieran, Courtney, Mallory, Gavin, and Braden; son James A. Schell and wife Vicki, grandchildren Thomas and Kellie; grandchildren Nicholas and Maxmillian Schell, and grandchildren Corey and Keaton Thor.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marthermarie “Kellie” Schell, III; son John P. Schell, Jr.; and son Jeffrey K. Thor.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Pat was a tremendous father who was extremely proud of his service to America as a United States Marine, and was a devout catholic, as well as a devoted husband who gave of himself freely. He was loved by all whom he came in contact with and we will all miss him dearly.
A private memorial service was held for him at the Museum of Military History, Simi Valley, CA.
