Jitari White

Place of birth: Lansing, MI

We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new. We think about you all the time and everything that you went through. We think of you in silence but we also speak your name as memories of you flood all around us; your memory our keepsake. Yes, you were on the good list; you are our angel now…our Superman, our hero.  A million times we’ve missed you and we have cried…if only love could have saved you, if only you didn’t have to leave us! Losing you has broken our hearts but know that you are not alone, for upon your last breath, our sweet Jitari, a part of us went with you. And now, we must remain behind and honor you we will. “I’ve always been me…,” you’d always say and now it is our turn to try to think the same way.

Funeral Notice Detail

Although Jitari's illness made him appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Surrounded by family and friends, he gave his last breath on October 28th after having heard them share their love and positive energy with him throughout the day. No longer must he suffer the pain caused by the awful disease that cancer is. With Jitari's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated! Although we will miss him everyday, especially his winning smile, he will forever remain in our hearts. Jitari is survived by his mother, Hope; younger brother, Travis; and grandmother, Justyne; along with numerous family members and close friends.
