James Foley

Place of birth: Rochester, NH

Jim Foley, eldest of five children went missing Thanksgiving Day in 2012. He was taken by an organized gang in Binesh, Syria while working as a freelance photojournalist reporting on the atrocities taking place against the Syrian people.

Hope of his release was shattered as the world witnessed his brutal death.

May he RIP and be remembered by the world for his dedication to his work and his commitment to sharing his eye-witness reporting of world events.

May his family find comfort in knowing the world prays with them and honors the memory of their son, brother and friend

    Memorializing Jim

Jim Foley will always be remembered as a kind, brave and professional person and journalist as well as a true friend. Please keep watch for a dedication of a wall mural in his honor to be held soon in mid October; it is now nearing completion at 18th St. and Bishop Ave., two blocks east of Ashland Ave. in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood (south wall).

My sincerest sympathy to the Foley family, friends, and coworkers of James. James

I personally didn't know James. Now I and hundreds of thousands of people the USA and around the world know the courage, strength, and kindness James possessed. John 14:2 KJB In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. James will always be with you, in your hearts and memories. He is one breath away from you. James' death was horrific. But I do believe God surrounded him with His loving and gentle angels. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless and comfort you all the days of your lives
