Geraldine Carol “Gerry” Dickerson was born September 27, 1938 in Holden, West Virginia. Her parents Claude Sr. and Jessie Bell Dickerson preceded her in her transition. She confessed to Christ at an early age. She was educated in the Detroit Public School System and at Wayne State University’s School of Labor Relations.Geraldine had four children: 2 daughters and 2 sons.

Geraldine, affectionately known as Gerry by friends and Dean by family had a passion for family first! She was an avid bowler on the Michigan Women’s Professional Bowling League Circuit. She was dedicated to her Church Our Lady of Sorrow/ The Good Shepard. And, she had a passion for her work with Chrysler / UAW first as a Union Representative with Local 961, where she served as an elected official, and later as a UAW International Representative at the National Training Center. After Retirement in 1999, she was dedicated to UAW retirees where she served on the Chrysler UAW Retiree Council. During her tenure with Chrysler / UAW she received numerous awards and commendations for her tireless work around the country as an International Union Representative. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society.

Geraldine made her transition on February 7th, 2016. Geraldine leaves to cherish her precious memory her two daughters Deborah Marie Wilson and Terrie Elaine Dickerson, and two sons Eric Jerome and Larry Darnell Dickerson, six sisters: Gail Hunter (who preceded her in her transition), Yvonne, Anna Marie, Linette, Kimberly, and Teresa Dickerson, and four brothers: Charlie and George (who preceded her in her transition), Claude Jr., and Kenneth Dickerson. She also leaves to cherish her precious memory ten grandchildren Keith L. Dickerson (Krystal), Eric Jr. and Derrick Duren (Geneen), Dorian, Armani, Autum, Ronica (who preceded her in her transition, Larry Jr., Machai, and Urian; Thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
