Edward Thomas of Citrus Springs passed away on August 16 at the Hospice House in Lecanto. Edward was born on June 3,1956 in Red Bank, New Jersey to Edward Ralph Thomas and Alice Marie Gardner. Edward was a man who had many things that he loved to do. He loved to fish, hunt,go out on his boat, farming,but the thing he loved the most was spending time with his family. He was beloved by so many people and always helped someone in need. He was a great and very strong willed man. He worked as a crane operator at Ameristeel in Perth Amboy, New Jersey for 21 years and then retired. He is predeceased by his Father Edward, his mother Alice , and his brother Ralph. He is survived by his wife Dawn his Children Shawn and his wife Jennifer, Melissa, and Christopher Thomas,his sisters Patty Leskowits of New Jersey, Joann Thomas of West Virgina,Jennifer Hoyles and her husband Bob of New York, and his brothers Jon Thomas of New Jersey, and Gerard Thomas of West Virgina. He has 7 nieces and nephews.He had many friends Frank and Debbie Barna from PA, Gale and Lou Pucci from NJ, James and Kecha Stukes from FL, Myra Heater and Nelson Morris from FL, and sister in lawTammy and Arnold Yale from FL. He also survived by his babies as he called them Nick, Adam, Eve, Holly,Pokadot, and Hobbs (his goats) Maddie, Stormy, Sheena, Bunny, And Danny Boy(his Horses) and Whitey, Blacky, Sophie, Lou,Riley, and of course Edwards favorite Eddie (his cows).A meal will beheld for the family right after morning worship at Lecanto Church of Christ followed by a breif Memorial Service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Sunday Aug. 27
