Edward Louis Santus – born in Philadelphia, PA, son of Gaetano and Louise Santus (Cosano), passed away on Friday, April 6th in Palmetto, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Mary Gail Santus (Prysi) of Palmetto, FL., and his children Christopher Santus of Cumbola, PA and Michael Santus of Parrish, FL.  His brother, William Santus of Denver, Colorado also survives him.    Edward was a veteran, Airman First Class (A1C), of the United States Air Force.  He spent 4 years stationed at the Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA., where he was the jet mechanic crew chief working on T38 trainer jets and also T37 Tweet trainer jets.     After his enlistment he and Gail remained in Valdosta for a short time before relocating to Philadelphia, PA where they would stay for 33 years before eventually relocating back to Valdosta, GA in 1997.   Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing in the wooded backcountry of rural Pennsylvania as well as NASCAR races.  He had a meticulous nature that lent itself to his ability and enjoyment of various forms of woodworking. Cremation service provided by Groover Funeral Home, Ellenton FL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tidewell Hospice of Ellenton, FL at 4151 37th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221
