Monday October 3, 2016, Edward M. Middleton was called home to be with the Lord. Edward is predeceased by both his parents Edward and Thelma Middleton. He is survived by his aunts Berniece Lawrence and Geri Williams, and one uncle James Middleton. His sisters Barbara Middleton, Linda (Timothy) Fleming, Louise Middleton, Dorothea (Scott) Mullen, Francis (Edward) Davis, Margaret Wright and Sherri Middleton. He is also survived by his children Edward Simmons, Barry (Lauren) Simmons, Perry Simmons, and Yvonne (Daniel) Stone, Kelley (Wright) Purdy his God-daughter Amy Brearley; his grandchildren Kevin Reese, Brian Reese, Kiara Huffman and Mikyla Simmons; his great grandchildren Julian Reese and Jasiah Reese; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, his Best friend Vickie Thompson and many more friends. Edward M. Middleton was born Monday August 30, 1948 in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. 

Funeral Notice Detail

Eddie was known for his sense of humor, his love of horse races, his skill with computers, his love for fireball candies and his appreciation of poetry. He often quoted Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" and recited the famous line "Quote the Raven, Nevermore." Eddie was the second oldest of eight children, as well as the only boy. Life in a household full of women was not only a task, it was also an attest of the type of true gentleman he was. Although he is gone physically, he will be greatly missed. The funeral services will be held at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC located at 300 E Main St., Endicott. The viewing hours are Saturday October 8 from 11am-12pm. Funeral Service will be from 12pm-1pm. Repass will be held Sunday October 9, at The Endicott Visitor Center, 300 Lincoln Ave, Endicott New York. From 3pm - 6pm.The family would like to express their gratitude for the staff at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital for all their help during his final days.
