Edith Costigan of Queens New York passed away today on December the 9th, 2014 at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. She was the widow of Goodwin L. Costigan of Brooklyn New York .Edith was born on November the 18th 1919 and raised by her parents Yosef and Shoshanna Schwartz. Early employment as a secretary and later a teacher at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. She married Goodwin L Costigan on Jan 24th 1938. Together they had two children Frank and FrancineCostigan. She enjoyed playing marjone , dancing and family gatherings
Funeral Notice Detail
Surviving are her two children, Frank Costigan of Queens New York and her daughter Francine Gomez of Brooklyn New York; grandchildren include Lisa Berger, Scott Costigan, and Shanna Adams; great grandchildren Steven and James Costigan and Cameron Jr, Jea, Leland, Nisha, Jonoah Adams and Ashlyn Robinson. Besides her two children she was preceded in death by her best friend Estel Fayer. She was a member of Park East Synagouge.
